New Tech

Thanks to a friend I found a way to improve my 78's sound quality and clean up, below are 2 videos, one is the old way I would clean them up and the second is the new way, let me know which you prefer.

  1. I would say option 1 the old way is close to as authentic hearing the hiss, popping or crackling from wear and tear or imperfections with the record. And option 2 the new way is definitely cleaner sounding with the removal or barely can hear the hiss, popping or crackling.

I guess it really depends on personal preference. I like both in how the record sounds, but there's just something about the hiss, popping and crackling sounds from a record when it is played that sort of gives it character.

    1. I'm leaning in that direction as well, just seems like the noise is supposed to be there.
