Chuckwagon Jamboree Transcriptions Vol. 2


This is a homemade compilation of music taken from the Chuck-Wagon Jamboree radio show which was broadcast in 1948 & 1949. Ken Curtis who is remembered most for his roll on Gunsmoke as Festus Hagen had a fantastic singing voice and was once a member of The Sons of the Pioneers in the early 1950's, he also costarred in a number of movies with John Wayne. On these recordings Ken is joined by the Novelty Aces, Susie, Emmie Lou, Art West and Gerry Howe.
